domcib:
@dan. thats what ive been doing. thanks for all the help. i was kinda hoping maybe u had some of yourgreat info. any ideaof how long it might take to get better? im 55. i realize age has an effect on the healing process. its really annoying as heck. have you ever tried xt tape or whatever they call it? thanks
Kasey Esser:
@truth1ness- Good question. I don't think it's necessary to have that leg drive, just keep the glutes tight. If you deal with low-back problems and find the legs straight position to be uncomfrotable, by all means go feet flat.
Kasey Esser:
@iDrDan- Thanks! I know what you're saying, it's tough to hold back sometimes!
Kasey Esser:
@mfmaxpower- I'm not sure why that's there haha, you didn't miss anything!
Dan Blewett:
@Todd - You're making a few errors in logic. Just because a guy has "the biggest abs you've seen" from means other than Koch's methods doesn't mean they couldn't be made bigger from these techniques. Also, those same guys perhaps squat/dead 500 BECAUSE they have big abs, not the other way around. You can't infer causal direction very well from genetic extremes. And, just because squats and deads build strong & thick abs, doesn't mean that they're the only useful method to do so.
Dan Blewett:
@domcib - wrists are tough, but generally we find that keeping it straight solves some, but not all, problems. So for those who can't do floor push ups, they can usually do them on a dumbbell or benching like you found - the wrist remains straight. For everything else, the wrist moves dynamically so it's hit or miss. I'd say get real good at the cross-arm front squat and rest it from everything else that bothers it. Continued reaggravation will prevent it from healing
