INDIGO-3G Nutrient Partitioning Agent

Indigo-3G® cyanidin 3-glucoside (C3G) is a naturally occurring anthocyanin (flavonoid) with many researched-backed benefits for leanness and health. C3G shrinks fat cells and limits fat storage while increasing and enhancing calorie-burning brown adipose tissue.* C3G profoundly enhances glucose uptake in muscle fibers instead of being stored as fat.* It even mimics the life-extension effects seen in calorie-restricted diets.* All of these effects and many more make C3G an essential supplement.

Benefits

  1. C3G increases insulin sensitivity enhancing glucose uptake by myotubes, causing muscle fibers to preferentially burn calories instead of being stored as fat.*
  2. C3G, taken before a workout, helps shuttle energy from pre-workout nutrition directly to muscle cells.*
  3. C3G raises levels of adiponectin, which regulates glucose levels and increases fatty acid breakdown.*
  4. C3G compares favorably to a pharmaceutical glucose-disposal agent.*
  5. C3G shrinks fat cells and limits fat gain and abdominal obesity.*
  6. C3G improves endurance by increasing the production of chemical intermediates involved in the production of ATP, the cell’s energy source.*
  7. C3G reduces blood sugar, triglycerides, and cholesterol.*
  8. C3G increases mitochondrial number and function.*
  9. C3G increases and enhances the activity of brown adipose tissue, which is metabolically active and calorie-burning.*
  10. C3G reduces systemic inflammation.*
  11. C3G promotes stomach and intestinal-lining health.*
  12. C3G improves night vision and helps prevent eye fatigue.*
  13. C3G promotes heart and liver health.*
  14. C3G mimics the life-extending benefits seen in calorie restriction diets.*

Just hoping someone might clear something up for me in terms of the timing of this supplement.

I’ve found the “take 30 minutes before largest meal” to be too fussy. For whatever reason (it seems to be a different reason just about every day), I either can’t get the timing right on this, or I’m just never sure when my biggest meal might be (I tend to eat to satisfy what my body is demanding of me at any given meal).

How much does the 30 minutes really matter? Is it better to err on too much time or too little? Ideally, I’d just be able to take it pre workout and be done with it. It’s an expensive supplement, so I don’t want to waste it and would like to optimize its effects as much as possible (and confirm it works for me as well) while not being obsessive.

Thx.

I concur. I would much prefer a window than an exact time. More likely than not I find myself waiting more than 30 minutes. I’d like to know when the “window” closes, or begins to close. I can easily see the initial wait time to get the product digested before nutrient competition begins.

Gents, any thoughts?

I’ll also tack on - err toward taking this preworkout, which tends to be high carb/ low fat, or before the calorically biggest meal (dinner, for me) with a more balanced macronutrient profile?

I honestly wouldn’t sweat it too much. Indigo-3G is active for around 6 hours after each dose, and my understanding the effects even build up over time (think a more lasting change to how your body utilizes carbohydrates).

I think the 30 minutes was more important when there was a bigger concern about fruits and teas, etc inhibiting the absorption of Indigo. I think it’s less of a worry these days (I still wouldn’t take Indigo-3G with a bushel of blueberries, but you know what I mean). I think it’s more important to get it in you system regularly, whether it’s 30 minutes, 15 minutes, or an hour before a meal.

When is the optimal time to take this? The label says 30-60 before your largest meal. I have been taking this before my lunch because both my lunch and dinner are about the same size. I saw another post or article saying to take this before your evening meal. Can you give me some clarity on this?
