Tip: Freezer Fudge for Lifters

Regular fudge: Processed sugar, low-quality fats, no protein, no fiber.

Metabolic Drive® Freezer Fudge: Zero processed sugar, very low fat, high fiber, and a nice hit of protein in every sweet and salty bite. Easy to make, too.

This recipe is actually similar to those "paleo" bars you've seen in health-food stores, only you won't have to remortgage your home to fuel your snack bar addiction. Here are two ways to make it:

Ingredients for Chocolate Sea-Salt Fudge

  • 18 Medjool dates, pitted
  • 3 Scoops chocolate Metabolic Drive® Protein
  • 3 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 Tablespoons peanut butter powder (PB2) or almond flour
  • 1/4 Teaspoon sea salt

Ingredients for Caramel-Toffee Fudge

  • 18 Medjool dates, pitted
  • 3 Scoops vanilla Metabolic Drive® Protein
  • 3 Tablespoons lucuma powder (available at health food stores)
  • 2 Tablespoons almond flour

Instructions

  1. Line a tin or container with baking paper. You'll also need a good food processor or high-powered blender.
  2. Simply toss in all of the ingredients and blend until the mixture forms into a ball. It might look a little too dry at first, but persevere and it should form a ball after about 30-60 seconds.
  3. Remove the ball and press down in the tin/container. Alternatively, you could just roll it between two sheets of baking paper.
  4. Flatten or roll out as thin as you'd like, then cut and portion into 18 bite-sized pieces or 9 full-size bars.
  5. For the chocolate sea-salt version, add a little extra sea salt on top... for the Instagram likes.
  6. These work just fine at room temperature, but they'll harden in the freezer and become irresistibly chewy.
  7. Use the baking paper to individually wrap the bars for an easy grab-and-go snack when needed.
