Ive been on a test tren 350mg blend cycle for a bit now. I have no issues with the blend itself whatsoever (when the pin actually lands the mark). Unfortunately I pinned what I thought was my left delt and it ended up being and still is a very rough situation. When the needle went in I felt something quiver?? Perhaps a nerve? I kept going and finished the process…no extensive blood, no leakage…somewhat normal..
Next day I had soreness, inflammation, hot skin….all below the delt. No fever, no chills.
Reached out to combat medic buddy who is now fully in medical field…he said motrin and ice packs..
Its been a few days and I can barely bend my left arm without sharp pain…feels like its in the bicep for some reason…still tender…still hot..
What the hell did I do? Accidental subq? Hit a nerve? Connective tissue injection? Ive read other threads and still I have confusion on what exactly is happening.I want this shit over with. Close the book and lesson learned on delt pins. If this continues to be at the level of discomfort it is currently, I will likely head to urgent care.
Again still no serious visible swelling, no redness, no fever. I dont look like the stay puff man but my arm feels like it.
I have switched to glute pin, heating the bottles, slower pinning, etc.
Let me know your thoughts T-Nation..could use advice on what it caused it, what it is. And how to remediate
I seem to have a similar issue whenever I pin thigh, but mine swells bad and can’t walk. Last time I had a buddy pin my thigh, hes an MA, plenty of experience. Nope all the same symptoms, couldnt walk, and swelled like no other.
Can actually move my arm today, the swelling has fell down to above my elbow. Still warm. No fever.
I am gonna agree with the nerveshot consensus here. That shit hurt and took me away from workouts. Know I understand why some people get tattoos that are treasure maps for pinning spots.
Still welcoming any advice or general conversation on what happened here.
You hit a nerve.
If it’s highly concentrated gear that may also come into play. If it’s the first time hitting that muscle that could also be part of it. If you pushed to fast there is another issue.
If I don;t pin quads for a long time and then I go there I will get a not for the first couple times.
It’s just bad luck. If you ever feel the muscle twitch again, pull it out and go somewhere else. It still may swell a bit but at least your not rammin g in oil on top of that.
I hit a never in my thigh. It felt like bugs were crawling under my skin for about a week. Then it was kind of numb for three months. It takes a long time to heal.
