New research shows that curcumin prevents baby fat cells from becoming adults while also causing adult fat cells to commit suicide.
The list of curcumin's benefits keeps growing. Curcumin started off as an effective pain reliever and anti-inflammatory, but then we found out it also blocks estrogen, boosts testosterone, improves heart health, makes you stronger, dissolves arterial plaques, stops your knees from aching, and reduces the risk of diabetes.
Now there's new research showing that curcumin causes fat cells to literally die (apoptosis).
Fat-cell death from curcumin:
- Fat-cell surface starts to bubble and churn, like it's boiling.
- Its nucleus fragments and breaks up.
- Cell membrane tears, spilling its guts into the interstitial sea of fluid.
- Cellular clean-up crew (phagocytes) disposes of the fat-cell corpses.
No new fat cells
The research also shows that curcumin prevents baby fat cells (pre-adipocytes) from developing.
How to use this info
The scientists killed fat cells with 18 µg/mL of curcumin, and used 11 µg/mL to keep baby fat cells from forming. The only curcumin that can achieve these concentrations in the body is Micellar Curcumin.
Micellar Curcumin ➔ Buy at Biotest delivers 95 times more free curcumin in the bloodstream – 110 µg/mL – than standardized curcumin with piperine (Gota VS et al, 2010).
