Tip: The Invisible Cable Flye

Looks weird, but it'll light up your shoulders, chest, lats, and even your traps.

Looking for a way to hit the various heads of the delts, the lats, and your traps with one exercise? This "invisible cable flye" will do it.

This exercise mimics the cable chest flye, but the dumbbells make it a more dynamic exercise due to the stress of keeping your body in the fixed position to control the weight.

How to Do It

  1. Select a light pair of dumbbells and get yourself into the starting position. Go much lighter than you think you need to!
  2. Step forward. Your torso should have a slight forward bend with dumbbells at shoulder level.
  3. Bring the dumbbells together as if you were using cables for chest flyes, then return to starting position. Perform the movement slowly and with adequate tension.
  4. Every movement should be the same for the desired sets and reps.
