Christian Thibaudeau: @ Lonnie.. about rings... I really can't. (1) I experimented for 3-4 months where I did nothing but rings. Many things that I experimented didn't work, some did, some led to problems. I also don't remember exactly what I did every day of those 3-4 months. (2) Because I only did rings it would not be applicable to combined training (rings + strength lifts + pump work) and because I did nothing but rings I had more leeway regarding what I did... in other words I could get away with mstakes...

Christian Thibaudeau: @ MytchBucanan.... 135lbs? Of dry muscle weight? No, probably not possible. The average man has about 40-50% of his body weight in the form of muscle mass... we often think only in terms of muscle and fat. So if someone is 200lbs with 10% body fat we normally assume that he has 20lbs of fat and 180lbs of muscle. In reality it's more like 20lbs of fat, 80lbs of muscle and 100lbs of bones, organs, fluids, etc.

Chris Shugart: @pradaboy: The gym chains are going to vary by location. I sometimes train at a 24 Hour Fitness that has an O-lift platform, battle ropes, plyo boxes, etc. A lot of times it depends on the owner. Just avoid Planet Fitness.

And I have to swap out my skin care products for the hotter months. Also, nuts/nut butters exacerbate my skin issues. You may be completely different, but thought I'd share because skin probs are really frustrating!

Christian Thibaudeau: @ coolusername... yes... my new favorite method of achieving a maximum pump is to do 5-10 reps in 3 partial ranges, then rest 10 sec. and do 5 full explosive reps... so for example on preacher curl, do 10 top partials, 10 mid partials, 10 bottom partials... rest 10 sec. and do 5 explosive reps... after the pump reps you think that there is no way you can do the 5 explosive reps.... but you can... they actually feel like a relief but when you drop the bar it feels like the biceps is on fire.

Christian Thibaudeau: A 7/5/3 wave would look like this: 330x7/350x5/370x3 / 350x7/370x5/400-410x3

Christian Thibaudeau: @ troublesome... with 5/4/3 first wave is conservative, second is close to your best, third is either your max or a new max... with 7/5/3 the first wave is conservative the second is limit... so with a 3RM of 405 a 5/4/3 wave could look like this: 330x5/350x4/370x3 / 350x5/370x4/390x3 / 370x5/390x4/405-410x3...

Christian Thibaudeau: @coolusername... the VMO has two main functions: 1) it is the prime mover in the last degrees of knee extension 2) it stabilizes the knee joint... so it is more heavily involved during the last quarter of a squat.

Christian Thibaudeau: @ rpm... I actually talked about that possibility yesterday. What I recommended was 1-3 reps @ 105% (partial) / 1 rep @ 90% / 6 reps @ 80% / 1-3 reps @ 110% (partial) / 1 rep @ 92% / 6 reps @ 82% / 1-3 reps @ 115% (partial) / 1 rep @ 95% / 6 reps @ 85%

Christian Thibaudeau: @coolusername.... it's a double-edged sword. Yes, it is true that longer limbs individuals get less carryover in strength gains from partials to full ROM... well to be more accurate the more you are mechanically suited for a lift, the more carryover you get from partials. That having been said, people who are not mechanically suited for a lift will probably gain more size from partials (not *too* partials... half squats for example) because their levers are so bad for the full lifts that it's

Frizzle: @corstijeir and wallstrt Just started about a month ago. was benching heavy (for me) 275x5 for 4-5 sets 4x a week. Then it started to get irritated so i lightened the load for a week but it still bothered me so I took an entire week off. Started back up doing reverse grip bench instead of regular and it seemed to of gotten better but still irritated especially on the chest days. yesterday I attempted reverse grip bench again and i felt more pain then normal. Mutsanah: @bwbski: sorry a bit late - I don't change anything when doing a pulse fast. Just make sure you have pulsing right around WO period. Indigo at -40 to -60WO and take new Anaconda during. With new formulas, if doing an afternoon WO, I would pulse upon waking (2 scoops new MAG-10), pulse 2-3 hrs later, pulse at -60WO, 2 scoops Anaconda during, pulse at +60WO, pulse before bed. Normally have great WO's those days, especially when using AGPC at -90WO.

Lonnie123: Really though, I think its an awesome idea. We could also have a "submit your problem" kind of thing and then experiment on solutions - ie: My calves suck... Try switching calf-jumps ONLY for active rest 2-3 days a week for 12 weeks

corstijeir: while I applaud the people who go sweat on the treadmill for hours for trying to get better, after a few weeks they know they aren't getting any more results so they just up the amount of work instead of learning something new or fixing the problem, that's what gets me

Lonnie123: As for the experiments I mentioned, I was thinking along the lines of "Nothing but hammer curls for biceps for 4 weeks", just some fun stuff that maybe we are "afraid" to try because we like our routines
