- A while back we ran an article called Shake It Up! featuring some of our favorite protein shake recipes. After that, T-mag readers began sending us their Grow! recipes, most of them pretty damn good. You guys had some creative ideas, so we decided to hold a little recipe contest on the T-Forum.
- We chose the mocha frappacino recipe below as the winner, mainly because we couldn't resist the idea of caffeine and protein all in one handy breakfast shake! Here's the winning recipe below plus eleven more of your submissions. Try a few of these out the next time you get a hankerin' for something a little different!
2 scoops vanilla Grow! 1 scoop chocolate Grow! 20 oz cold strong coffee or a spoonful of instant coffee 4-5 ice cubes Light whipped cream cinnamon Blend until smooth. Add a touch of light whipped cream and cinnamon to taste. You can use either Classic or Low Carb Grow! depending on your dietary goals. Take that, Starbucks! 2 scoops of vanilla Low Carb Grow! 1 scoop of sugar free strawberry ice cream or frozen yogurt 1 serving of Benefiber (guar gum) as thickening agent 1 serving of sugar free strawberry preserves Blend with ice and small amount of water, then eat it with a spoon. This is a real treat a high protein, sugar free dessert! 2 cups rolled oats (put them into the food processor and make them into flour) Add 6 scoops of Low Carb Grow! Add 24 oz of cottage cheese Blend well, then grease a cookie sheet. Drop 4 oz size piles of dough on the sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 13 minutes and you've got a chewy vanilla cookie! Makes ten 4 oz cookies. To make a peanut butter cup flavored cookie, use chocolate Grow! and 3 tablespoons of crunchy natural peanut butter. So tasty you won't believe they're good for you! 2 scoops of vanilla Classic Grow! coconut shavings pineapple low fat cottage cheese ice cubes Blend all ingredients together. Manipulate the amounts for taste and to suit your dietary goals. Serve during your next summer cookout along with some Jimmy Buffet classics. - 2 scoops of chocolate Grow!
A few marshmallows (or cream) 1/3 cup of graham crackers 3 tablespoons of light chocolate syrup 12 ounces of skim milk 1/3 cup of ice Blend, eat, and spontaneously orgasm. 2 scoops of chocolate Grow! 1 tablespoon of natural peanut butter 1/4 cup steel cut oatmeal 4 egg whites 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Mix the egg whites and uncooked oatmeal, then add the remaining ingredients. Spray a nonstick cooking spray in an 8"x8" baking dish. Spread the mixture in an even layer over the bottom of the dish and bake for about 20 minutes or until the edge starts to pull away from the sides. Let cool for 5 minutes and cut into bars. Eat these while your co-workers eat candy bars; feel smug. - Mix 6 scoops of chocolate Low Carb Grow! with 16 oz of heavy whipping cream. Add a tablespoon of milk to thin it if needed.
- This will make a low carb pudding that tastes just like cake icing. Use vanilla for a butter cream flavor!
2 scoops vanilla Low Carb Grow! 1 tbsp sugar-free instant vanilla pudding 1/2 tsp imitation vanilla (or 1/4 tsp extract) 1 packet Splenda cinnamon to taste 8 oz. water or low-fat milk 3 ice cubes A few dashes butter flavor sprinkles or butter-flavor extract - Blend and enjoy. Just like drinking a high protein cinnamon roll! Great for breakfast!

12 oz. cold skim milk or water 3 packets of Splenda 1 tbs vanilla extract -
Blend all of the above together. Fill a large glass halfway up with cold soda water and ice, then pour the Grow! mixture into it. Top with nonfat whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon and a cherry. Just like old man Farnsworth used to make down at the drugstore, only healthy! Take one can of pumpkin pie filling and pour it into an ice cube tray. Once frozen, blend 4-5 cubes with the following: 1 banana dash of cinnamon 1 cup cooked oatmeal 24 oz skim milk 3 scoops vanilla Grow! Weird, but damn tasty! Perfect for skinny "hardgainers." 1 cup plain non-fat yogurt 1/2 cup non-fat cottage cheese 1 scoop vanilla Grow (Low Carb or Classic) 2/3 cup of blueberries or mixed berries (frozen is fine) 1/4 cup oat-bran or pressed oats Cinnamon to taste Directions: Mix the yogurt and cottage cheese together, then mix in the Grow! and berries. Sprinkle on the cinnamon and add the oat bran on top. This transports well in a Tupperware container. Just stir and eat! 2 scoops of Low Carb vanilla Grow! 4-5 oz cold water 2-3 ice cubes Add to shaker cup and shake to a pudding consistency, then pour contents into popsicle trays and freeze.
